A quick
overnight stay at Woomeral Riverside Retreat – recommended by a friend of Ms C’s.
They have goats, cattle and sheep as well as MANY tourists.
The river only ahs water flowing 3 or 4 times a year.
Well worth
the visit, right on the Woomera River [120kms south of Carnarvon]. Loads to do
for young people like me, even a ‘Tip Walk’ where you could go an explore the
tip and I even found a ‘loungeroom set up’ with an old TV, couch etc for
people.

The
artesian pools were absolutely fab – Ms C made the most of a dip before ‘family
roast dinner’ night, then again afterwards and again prior to leaving in the
morning. So good for her sore muscles and her skin felt so smooth afterwards.
Many gathered around the courtyard for some live music and the locally provided
dinner. The many young children had a blast playing in the old truck and all
around – Ms C let me join them for a little while.
