Exploring Perth with new friends: Mr and Mrs Smith

While Ms C was busy doing computer stuff Mr and Mrs Smith took me on a half day tour of Perth, suggested byMs Rusconi.

We began at Kings Park where straight away I climbed up a pandanus. Felt just like home! I could see the skyscrapers of the city from there but had no interest in visiting them. Not much chance I'd find termites or ants there. Much better chance here in the park gardens.

Next they took me to the Mends St Jetty terminal where people cross the Swan River to visit the zoo. How's that for a shade structure? Can you see me in the left of the pic? The zoo is the only place around here to find frill, the rest of my family live in the tropics and savannah country up north.

On the way back to the car we came across a black swan on the river. They are very popular here so there is a Swan River, Swan Valley, Swan Taxi Co and even a Swan Cuddly Animal Farm!

Last of all we checked out Optus Stadium, home of West Coast Eagles and Freemantle Dockers. Ms Rusconi is an Eagles fan so she's not talking much about footy this season. I'm in the picture with a statue of Nicky Winmar who grew up south east of here and began his career with South Freemantle before joining the AFL.

Time to head back to Trish and Johnny's, we've got a celebration dinner to cook as Trish and Johnny have been married 54 years.
I had a fab day out exploring - big thanks to Mrs and Mr Smith for taking me with them.
I heard they went to Rottnest Island the next day - BUT they left me behind with Ms C for the day. She went out for a special lunch with an old friend BUT left me behind as well. Lucky Trish took care of me for the day!
