So Ms C and
I hit the road again after packing up Cosmo – loads more space without the friends
BUT a lot quieter. Ms C was all keen on playing her country music [and she even
sang along – NOT good at all] so I just went along with that for now. Think I
need to get to her iphone one night and download some NEW music for us to
listen to. She does not even have the Alawa school song for us to listen to and
sing – I miss it each week and miss you all too!
Coral Bay turned
to be a quaint little resort area. We stayed at the Ningaloo Reef resort right
at the end of the Bay for a few nights in a pool and ocean view beach studio
[fancy name for a single room]. The Bay was just across the road so we were able
to have a few dips [the water was 25degrees] – especially gorgeous in the
morning on high tide.
We also
went adventuring on a quad bike ‘Turtle and Snorkel tour’. Wowza – they advised it was a tad rough in
places over the sand dunes and paths into the more remote / hard to get areas
of the bays and it certainly was. The bikes were capped at 35kmph and the guide
[Matt] wanted us to stay at least 25-30kmph to ensure we did not get bogged /
stuck. I have to tell you I was a tad
anxious BUT Ms C came through and kept us safe. We stopped off at a few places
to see turtles from the cliff face down in the sparking waters and then had a
30min stopover at Five Finger Bay for snorkelling - so many fish and amazing coral. I felt very shook up from all
the bumping along BUT it was so much fun! The water colour was sparking and amazing!
